🟡 MU Online PvP Yellow Options Guide – SD & Combat Mechanics
Fellow OldSquaders, this guide explains the main Yellow Options you can equip on Excellent weapons and armor, focusing on SD (Shield) mechanics and PvP effectiveness.
💛 What is SD?
- SD is the yellow bar next to your HP, absorbing most incoming damage in PvP.
- Default: 90% of damage goes to SD, 10% to HP. SD depletion redirects all damage to HP.
- Sturdy HP is essential; low HP can still result in defeat even with SD.
- HP damage can cause “stutter” effects, briefly preventing skill or combo usage — crucial for high-speed attacks.
⚡ SD Ratio Increase
- Diverts more damage to SD, reducing HP damage and avoiding stutter interruptions.
- Multiple items can potentially divert all damage to SD, leaving HP untouched.
- Best for high-speed burst combos (BK, DL, RF) and when using 🧴 SD potions.
- Countered by SD Reduction or SD Bypass on the opponent’s gear.
🎯 SD Reduction Rate
- Reduces opponent’s SD efficiency, transferring more damage to HP.
- Effective against low-HP targets in PvP duels.
- Less effective against high-HP characters (BK, VRF) who sustain longer.
🗡️ SD Bypass / SD Ignore Rate
- Chance to completely ignore opponent SD and deal direct HP damage.
- Works with Reflect options; reflected damage may also bypass SD.
- Best for high-burst classes against high SD/HP targets.
- RNG-dependent; less effective against high-HP targets.
🛡️ Damage Decrement Increase
- Reduces incoming damage.
- Safe and reliable option for general PvP across all classes.
- Less impactful in 1v1 high-burst scenarios.
